This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit www.goodsanddots.com, subscribe to updates, create an account, submit an application, browse offers, purchase products, participate in community features, or interact with our services.

It covers information handled by Goods & Dots in connection with our direct store, marketplace, community, seller programs, Shop Partners, Local Shops, Coupon Partners, Service Partners, and Dropship Partners, where those features are available.

  • Website activity: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location, and cookie or similar technology information, depending on the tools enabled on our website.

Coming Soon Signups and Interest Preferences

When you sign up for Coming Soon announcements or other updates, we collect the contact information and interests you choose to provide.

We use that information to send relevant Goods & Dots updates through the communication channels you select and authorize. Signing up for updates does not automatically create a paid membership or enroll you in a seller or partner program.

You may unsubscribe or withdraw marketing consent as described below.

Payments

Payments are handled through payment providers, including Stripe where configured. Depending on the transaction, payment may be processed for Goods & Dots or for an independent seller or merchant.

Goods & Dots may receive payment status, transaction references, and limited billing or payment-method information. Full payment-card details are handled by the payment provider according to its own privacy and security practices.

Please do not send payment-card numbers, passwords, or security codes through ordinary email, community posts, or public messages.

How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to:

  • Service providers: Companies supporting website hosting, payments, communications, security, analytics, and business operations.
  • Sellers, suppliers, and fulfillment providers: Participants who need relevant order information to fulfill a purchase, arrange pickup, ship products, or resolve an order issue.
  • Professional advisers: Accountants, attorneys, and other advisers when needed for business or legal purposes.
  • Authorities or other parties: When required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security concerns, legal claims, or threats to safety.
  • A successor business: In connection with a merger, sale, or other business transfer, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

We may also disclose information at your direction or with your permission.

Receiving an order or application does not give a seller, supplier, or partner permission to use your information for unrelated marketing without an appropriate legal basis.

Public Listings and Submitted Content

Information you submit for public display—such as a seller name, business profile, listing, review, image, or live interaction—may be visible to other users.

Avoid including private contact details or other sensitive information in public content. Information submitted privately for verification or account administration is not intended for public display.

Community Posts and Interactions

When you use Goods & Dots community features, we may collect the posts, comments, images, videos, reactions, reports, and other information you submit.

Community posts and comments are visible to other authenticated Goods & Dots members. No per-post privacy controls are currently available. Private messaging between members is not currently offered.

We use community information to display your contributions, support interactions, respond to reports, moderate content, prevent misuse, and enforce our community rules. Authorized administrators may review reported content, related records, and moderation history to investigate concerns and enforce community rules.

Other users may copy, save, or share content they can access. Deleting a post does not necessarily remove copies made by others. Removed content is retained in our records for security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance purposes.

For privacy concerns involving community content, contact privacy@goodsanddots.com.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in to your account. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure website traffic and activity. Google Analytics is only loaded after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or cookies for this site.

No advertising pixels or third-party behavioral tracking tools are currently active on this website.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality, including keeping you signed in.

Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

Goods & Dots does not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share limited data with Google for analytics purposes, subject to your cookie consent choice, and with Stripe for payment processing. These providers use your information only to perform services on our behalf or as required by law.

Email and Text Message Choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting privacy@goodsanddots.com.

Where text messaging is offered, marketing texts require the applicable consent. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Follow the opt-out instructions provided in the message, including replying STOP where supported.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary order confirmations, account security messages, billing notices, or other service communications.

We may retain limited contact information to record and honor your opt-out preference.

Third-Party Merchants and Links

Goods & Dots may display affiliate links, sponsored product placements, merchant coupons, service offers, community links, or other links to external websites.

When you follow an external link, the destination's privacy policy applies to information you provide there. Outside merchants and service providers control their own checkout, booking, customer service, and data practices.

Affiliate or referral links may include tracking information used to attribute visits or qualifying purchases. The applicable merchant or affiliate provider may collect information under its own privacy policy.

How Long We Keep Information

We do not apply fixed deletion schedules to most records. Subscriber records, applications, accounts, community content, and order records are retained for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including legal compliance, tax obligations, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention. Authentication sessions expire automatically.

We may delete or anonymize records upon a verified deletion request where no legal exception applies. Some records may need to remain after an account is closed, content is removed, or a deletion request is received.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal information. Access is limited to people and providers who need information for authorized purposes.

No website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your Privacy Choices and Requests

You may contact privacy@goodsanddots.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask about your privacy choices.

Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may also have rights to obtain a copy of your information, opt out of certain uses or disclosures, restrict certain processing, or appeal a decision about a privacy request.

We may need to verify your identity or an authorized representative's authority before fulfilling a request. We will respond as required by applicable law. Certain information may be retained where a legal exception applies.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Children's Privacy

Goods & Dots is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact privacy@goodsanddots.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

International Visitors

Goods & Dots operates from the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

Where applicable, we will use the safeguards required by law for international transfers. Country-specific services may require additional privacy notices before launch.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or data practices change. We will post the updated policy and revise the effective date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
